Myself, Megan Claydon, and Emmie Bryett ( two A2 pupils from Ilkley Grammar School, aged 17, are creating the a promotion package for the release of an album, to include a music promo video together with a cover for its release as part of an album digipak (CD/DVD package) and a magazine advertisement for the digipak (CD/DVD package.)

The Beatles- Come Together

After our class pitches, me and Emmie decided to work together, and we did decide to use the song I pitched, Come Together by The Beatles.

We have changed various aspects of my initial pitch:

  • There will be 4 main characters, including some lip syncing
  • The four will start of in what is seen as a "flat" just "messing around" this will be in colour and they will be in typical everyday clothes, such as jeans and a hooded jumper, there will be diegetic sound
  • They will then go into four different rooms, and when they come out, it will be in black and white, they will be wearing suits, as they come out the lyrics will start
  • They then gradually make their way down the stairs, picking up placards saying "come together" on
  • There will then be a "4x split screen" in which you can see each member going their seperate ways, one will be getting the train, a taxi, a bus and walking
  • This is to connote they are seperating
  • We will then film each of them embarking on their journey, picking up people as they go along
  • We will do reaction shots of the public from around Leeds
  • As the lyrics "Come together, right now, over me" it will again split into a 4x screen, and you can see each of them lip syncing
  • Eventually, in the last verse, you can tell that the four are going to come back together, this will be done by shooting various shots from the same place, but different angles
  • They will then reunite, and on the last "Come together, right now, over me" it will be connoted that they are hosting a concert, as The Beatles famous did on a rooftop, and U2 later mimicked with their "Where The Streets Have No Name"
